Legit Companies Hiring Online/Remote Workers

I said I would concentrate mostly on legit companies hiring online.  This post will be added to as time goes on, but here are some of my firsts on this post.

Surveys and Pierce Jobs

Swag Bucks

This site is mostly surveys, watching videos and some contests.  I did try this and it took forever to make any money.  Not only that but I ended up with a lot of junk mail in my email inbox.  I’ve got better things to do with my time.  However, I feel this is legitimate.

If you do try your luck here I would suggest that you get another email account just for this.  Swag Bucks pays in Amazon and Walmart gift cards.  Try your luck here:   http://www.swagbucks.com

Amazon Mechanical Turk

“MTurk” pays better than Swag Bucks and you don’t end up with junk email.  I have tried MTurk and have used my earnings to rent videos from Amazon.  According to someone on You Tube there is at least pocket money to be made here, if not more. Check it out here:  http://www.mturk.com

Transcription, Captioning and Translating

I tried captioning and it is not easy.   I have not tried translating at all because my only other language is Spanish and it certainly is not good enough to translate.

Transcription would be a possiblility for me because I have worked as a medical and scientific transcriptionist, but even after getting used to the company’s formatting I know that I will not make what the company says per minute.  They pay per audio minute, but it will take you longer than a minute to transcribe a minute of audio.  Rule of thumb is it will take you 3 minutes to transcribe 1 minute of audio.

Here are a few legitimate transcription and/or captioning companies:

Daily Transcription
They pay $0.75 – 0.85 cents per minute.  That comes out to $51.00 per audio hours divided by 3 = $17.00 per hour.  Not bad if you type quickly.  You will also have to learn and get used to their formatting.  Daily Transcription also hires translators.

Transcribe Me
They pay $15-22 per audio hour divided by 3 = $7.33 per hour.

They pay $0.45 – 0.75 per audio minute.  That would work out to $15.00 per hour.

Keep in mind that once you get used to the company’s formatting you may make the higher end of the pay scale.  These companies do boast about their transcriptionists making good money.   Also, you don’t have to get up, get dressed nicely and spend time in traffic getting to and from your job.  You can work for these companies when you want and as often as you want.

There are more companies hiring for online transcriptionists, translators and captionists but I’ve just listed a few because I feel these are legitimate.

Guest Blog on Wealthy Affiliate by Michael Van Gulik

It’s gardening time so I have been busy and have not written much in the past week.  Michael has kindly offered to help me out.

Affiliate Training Now

Hi there, my name is Michael Van Gulik, founder of Affiliate Training Now & Earbuds FIRST.

This is one of my very informative testimonies about a web hosting platform and affiliate training, Wealthy Affiliate.

Since being a member for Wealthy Affiliate, I have had the chance to build myself 2 fully functioning affiliate websites, which are bound by my business names to make me a constant revenue income.

For those of you that which don’t know what I’m talking about, affiliate marketing is when you write a review on a product or service you like, and then link your product to an existing ecommerce store, thus replicating a sale.

To write a successful blog post, you need to know at least the very basics of website SEO. This is what Wealthy Affiliate teaches its members right from the ground up.

I have literally learned so much in the short 9 months that I have been here.

As a matter of fact, here’s a list in bullet form the rules and strategies I have learned from Wealthy Affiliate.

• niche choice (own interest)

• post/article length

• post/article structure

• low hanging keyword fruits

• website design

• widgets/menus/headers/ and footers placements and design

This may seem a lot looking at it, but let me tell you it’s not. Again, as a matter of fact this is only a small portion of what you need to know in order to rank high.

This comes naturally now, but Wealthy Affiliate is the one who taught me all this and still growing.

How I started?

Let me backup a bit, to my employment before I began affiliate marketing.

I left school in 2003, completing half of year 10. I don’t know why I didn’t stay and finish, the only thing I remember is wanting to start work.

I won’t mention the factory work because that’s only a month here and there, but when I turn 16 I started an apprenticeship in roof tiling.  I remember thinking it was ok and wanting to finish the apprenticeship so I would be earning a higher salary wage.  To be honest, I don’t even finish it, I did not stop tiling but I didn’t finish the apprenticeship either. I was to embarrassed.

After 10 years of doing it, I wanted to find something easier to work at because roof tiling is very hard.

As I mentioned earlier, around 9 months ago, I started searching online for ways to earn money. When Wealthy Affiliate popped into the search engine I took a look at it. Basically straight away, it was making that much sense to me that I new it had to be done. I mean how easy is it linking somebody’s product to your website?

What it did for me?

What Wealthy Affiliate has done for me is completely and totally life changing. It can happen for you too.

The core of the training starts right in the centre of affiliate marketing.

Once you sign up, and take this training you learn how to sell products professionally.

It isn’t just selling products though, it’s talking to real life people who are looking for success.

Although I’m not a millionaire by any means, I’m well and truly on the way.

Anyone can do this as well.

Working most jobs in the world, usually has start times from 6 am onward. I don’t mean to sleep in, but that’s the opportunity this gives you.  Instead of getting up and having to go load roofs all day, now I type posts and reviews on products and services of my choice, always with the intent of helping someone.

What I’ve learned:

I mentioned earlier a few of the new affiliate marketing aspects

The benefits i have achieved and the things I’ve learned is constantly getting me to a higher level of success.

It has shown me the whole introduction into affiliate marketing, how to strategically place affiliate links, how to edit and structure content.

Having been taught this is something I can use to apply each and every day moving forward.

For example, let me show you some of the lessons at Wealthy Affiliate, when you first start.

The Training that got me Here

In the training sections of this affiliate website there are two training modules which are course like in structure.

The first training module is:

• Online Entrepreneur Certification

The second training module is:

• Affiliate Bootcamp

If you already know a bit about affiliate marketing you are best to start at Affiliate Bootcamp.

I have finished both training modules and I am now on the way to making 3, 4, 5, and 6 figure income streams.

If you have a legit path to online success, granted you work hard, anything is possible. Any amount of income is possible, basically if you work hard to get it.

The reason why I started this is because I saw the long term effects.

When you see long term, it’s very hard to think and do otherwise.

There’s so many people online just wanting fast short money, but there’s two problems with that.

Problem number one is: the amount you are able to obtain is not much at all, say $0.05 – $1.50 a job.  When you work all day earning $1.50 a job, it only works out to be $5.00 a day.

The second problem with that fast money is: the income potential is short.  Short money does not last. It’s easy to get but does stand up to the expenses humans face.

Even as a side hustle, the money making opportunities online are very dissatisfying after you see the picture.

Even after I started at Wealthy Affiliate, online opportunities would come up, and they were really distracting. But said no, again, short money is tempting, but a huge waste of time.

At Wealthy Affiliate, you are taught how to create your own business and earn affiliate commissions based on your own business model.

Today, I’m working harder than ever and within the online MMO space you can see me and interact with my affiliate business.

Thanks for reading.

Wealthy Affiliate Review: Built for Success, Free and Legitimate

Anyone can learn to how to build a successful online business.

It was 2015 when I first became a member of Wealthy Affiliate. However, it has been only recently that I have begun really working at it. I kept the free starter membership and used the free training, websites and tools. In my opinion, Wealthy Affiliate is built for success, free and legitimate. Yes, even the free membership is built for success. Within my first month of going premium I built another website and made money with it almost immediately.

Now, newly semi-retired (and dreaming of full retirement, folks), I have more time to devote to things I’m interested in. Gardening, cooking, RVs, traveling and blogging.

This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. This takes some work. What you put into it you get out of it. That said, it is perfect for beginners and experts alike.

Apparently this works for many people because it is the largest program of its kind in the world; there are over 1 million members. Wherever your travels take you Wealthy Affiliate will be there. You can work whenever you like, wherever you are.

The camaraderie with the other members was a major selling point for me. This system is built with this in mind. If you are coming from a background where the other members are very competitive or stoic toward each other, you are in for a very nice surprise here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Everyone is very helpful and communicative. If you need help with some seemingly complex issue with your website, just ask for help and chances are more than one person will offer help. Some of us are good at some things, and not at others. So we help each other.

No question is “stupid.” I’ve helped people figure out what their niche might be. For instance, ask yourself what some of your interests are, then narrow it down from there. And this can be a learning experience with something you are interested in and would like to learn more about. You don’t have to be all knowing on the subject; this website is a learning experience for me.

You have 24/7/365 IT support that is very quick to answer. I haven’t tested it (haven’t needed to), but I’m told by other members that it is in minutes, not hours or days. That is a comfort to me.

There are 2 levels of membership. The starter membership is free and you don’t need to plug in your credit card number to get it. The premium membership is $49/month.  There are no up sells; you get it all for this low price.

Also, if you buy a domain name through WA the price will always be the same. That is not the case when you buy a domain name elsewhere because you may find that it is more expensive in succeeding years.

You can see a better breakdown of the membership levels at the bottom of the page.

Wealthy Affiliate has the most comprehensive training platform in the world. This is the “basic” training you get in just the free starter membership:

  1. Getting Rolling
  2. Understanding How to Make Money Online
  3. Choose a Niche (this should be something you are interested in)
  4. Building Your Own Niche Website
  5. Setting Up Your Website (you get 2 free)
  6. Getting Your Site Ready for Search Engines (a simple and free way)
  7. Creating Your Initial Website Content (how to create quality content even if you are not a writer)
  8. Creating Custom Menus on Your Website
  9. Understanding Keywords (and access to a keyword search platform)
  10. Summary and Next Steps

When you have a premium membership the training and information seem infinite to me. There are live 1 hour classes every Friday that are available for replay anytime. There are 1000+ live training classes. In addition you have much more of the “formal” training.”

With the free starter membership you get 2 free websites and with the premium membership you get 50 websites at no extra cost. You also have a great SEO package and security. Building a website has been made super easy. There are over 1,000 designs to choose from at the premium level.

You do not have to be a writer and no one says you must. Just write like you talk. There is a built in grammar and spell checker for you.

This website was done on WordPress which is very versatile. You will learn how to navigate all its functions.

You will also have access to an awesome keyword tool.

You will learn how to interact with social platforms such as Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram.

Affiliate Marketing and Monetizing Your Website

In a nutshell, affiliate marketing is selling someone else’s product (for instance Walmart or Amazon) and getting a percentage. There is no need to keep any stock because this is all done through a link on your website. You will learn how to monetize your website. There are thousands of affiliate marketing opportunities: Amazon, Target, Walmart, Clickbank has many affiliate marketing opportunities, the list goes on.

I only promote products and services that I use and trust. However, I could do good research, relying on reviews and other consumer education, as well as finding out what the company has to say about their product.

I will tell you that I made money within the first month of going premium with Wealthy Affiliate. The money did not come from this website, but another one that I have. And, no, I did not make a lot of money, but it was enough to get excited about. There are many success stories.

The company was founded in 2005. There are members who have been there since the beginning. And there are plenty of members who have recently joined who are making a full time income. Really!

This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. This takes work. Your niche should be something you are interested in.

Members are not bombarded with more sales pitches. There is nothing else to buy; no up sells. The premium membership is $49./month and that is it. You have access to everything for that low price. That really is a low price considering what you will be getting (see below).

Where to Start

I invite you to become a starter member and be so impressed that you will go premium (most people do). You can play with it like I did for a while before going premium. Or you can work at it at night, early in the morning before you go to your full time job, your lunch hour . . . whenever is good for you. There are members who did just that and were able to quit their full time jobs.

Claim you financial freedom!

About Me and About Mobile Income Online

Hello. Welcome to Mobile Income Online. I hope you find what you are looking for, or are at least guided in the right direction.

A Little Background

My name is Suzanne and have recently semi retired. Like many, I dream of full retirement rich with travel. I am confident that one day I will be able to do this.

My efforts have been somewhat hit or miss

in trying to find legitimate ways of making a mobile income online. However, there are ways.

On this site I would like to share the legitimate online opportunities

that I have found.

You should not find scam operations here – unless I feel that you should have a brief “heads up” regarding something. Instead I want to focus on real opportunities. Ideally, this website should focus on a variety of ways to make a mobile income online. What is suited for one person may not be a great cup of tea for another person.

I make extra money to supplement my income in a variety of ways. My eggs are in a few baskets. Most of these stem from one place. Being a writer, this works well for me. I have more than one website and have a few more in the planning stages.

  • I have this website about mobile online incomes.

  • I love to cook healthy meals; low sodium, vegan, vegetarian, ethnic. I don’t eat a lot of meat (mostly chicken and fish) so sometimes I eat vegetarian. I have vegetarian, pescatarian and vegan friends so sometimes I cook for them. I am a senior citizen on a low sodium diet. So that is what my snowberrykitchens.com website is all about.  Pictured above is my slow cooker recipe for Low Sodium Chicken and Noodles.
  • My daughter likes to cook. Her cooking style is different from mine but we are planning a website together for more exotic and creative recipes – rather off the beaten path sort of fare, zzyzxroadkitchen.com.
  • Because of my interest in part-time rving and traveling, nomadaround.com has just been started.
  • I love to garden so I may start a gardening website on gardening in a small space. My gardening is confined to a small courtyard backyard.
  • A Shopify store may be started. I’m exploring this.  I love to shop.

What I learn will be shared here, even if it is so much to explain that I lead you to YouTube videos and other resources. If something works for me or if I know that something is working for someone else I will share it.

Please  share any known scams. It may be a good idea to have a page just devoted to bad experiences people have had. Has your money been taken? Were you not able to get your money back? Was the “opportunity” not presented accurately? That sort of thing.

If you ever have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out if I can..

All the best,
